Early adopters of the Apple Vision Pro are reportedly returning the headset over the past few days, and well within the fruit company’s 14-days return period. And the reason they’re returning it? The comfort factor or lack thereof, is one of them.
According to The Verge, many of these now-former owners of the Vision Pro said that, while they liked the headset, it appeared to be far from the most comfortable accessory they’ve used. Complaints about it vary from the band giving users headaches and triggering motion sickness, while some said that the weight of it was more or less the final straw. Not surprising, seeing how all the guts of the headset is situated right at the front, with virtually nothing at the back.
Can’t wait to return the Vision Pro, probably the most mind blowing piece of tech I’ve ever tried.
Can’t deal with these headaches after 10 minutes of use though.

One of The Verge’s staff said that they had reason to believe that their Vision Pro may have been responsible for popping a blood vessel in their eye. “Despite being as magical to use as I’d hoped, it was simply way too uncomfortable to wear even for short periods of time both due to the weight and the strap designs. I wanted to use it but dreaded putting it on.”
And it’s not just the physical aspect of the Vision Pro that users are complaining about too. On the software side of things, one users said that the headset isn’t currently as productive, relative to its US$3,500 (~RM16,731) asking price. For example, one users said that looking at the Figma screens caused dizziness while another said that the “coding experience” failed to convince to keep his headset, and focusing issues were causing them headaches.
Why I am (tragically) returning

At this stage, we’re still unsure when, or even if Apple even plans on bringing the Vision Pro into Malaysia, and these early impressions aren’t exactly painting a rosy picture for the fruit brand’s headset. Of course, it can be argued that, like the first iPhone, Apple will continue to improve on its product with every subsequent generation but to be fair, virtual and augmented headsets are a whole different ball game, and it is still difficult to say if this accessory will have any staying power or if it is just a fad.
