The Huawei nova Y72 launched late last month, but it also made an appearance in the SIRIM database in the meantime. Now, the company has officially announced the phone for the local market, with an accompanying price tag but not an availability date.
In case you missed it, the Huawei nova Y72 comes with a 6.75-inch HD screen with a 60Hz refresh rate, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space. The chipset is unspecified, though from its similarities with the Enjoy 70 it may be the Kirin 710A. Powering it all is a 6,000mAh battery with a charging rate of 22.5W.
For its cameras, the Huawei nova Y2 comes with a 50MP main + 2MP macro camera combo at the back. In front, an 8MP shooter sits within a notch at the top of the screen.
Locally, the Huawei nova Y72 will be coming with a price tag of RM899, and will be available in the two colour variants that we’ve seen before – green and black. Though despite announcing the price, the company did not disclose when you can actually buy the phone, providing us only with “coming soon”. But for what it’s worth, customers are promised a pair of FreeBuds SE 2 with every purchase of the phone, while stocks last.
