Renders allegedly depicting the upcoming Xiaomi 14 Ultra model have surfaced online via mysmartprice. The phone itself has yet to be officially announced by Xiaomi and is expected to debut alongside the vanilla variant later this month.
The images provided suggest that the Ultra model sports a similar design to its predecessor, but has a new bezel surrounding the large camera island on its back. Flipping over to the side, it is shown that the bump protrudes significantly from the phone’s body, even more so than last year’s model.
Meanwhile, everything else appears to be unchanged, including the leather-like texture on its rear case and the curved edges on its surrounding frame. Speaking of the latter, a separate leak by 91mobiles is claiming that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will feature an aluminium frame as standard, while a titanium version is available for a special edition of the device.
In terms of specifications, rumours are suggesting that the top-end Xiaomi 14 variant to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with 2K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and an under-display fingerprint scanner, IP68 rating, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, 16GB of RAM, up to 1TB of storage, as well as a 5,300mAh battery with 90W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support. On its back is said to be a quad-camera setup consisting of a 1-inch Sony LYT900 50MP primary and three 50MP supporting sensors, while in front is a 32MP selfie camera.
As usual, we’ll only know for certain if the leaks are accurate once Xiaomi unveils the Ultra model. For that, we’ll have to wait until the official global launch event that’s confirmed to happen on 25 February 2024.
