Online tech leak aggregator site Slashleaks has recently shared several images that’s claimed to be a protective case for the upcoming Nothing Phone (2a). The accessory is shown to have a slot for a centre horizontal slot for the cameras, corroborating prior leaks which depict this design for the handset, with the exception of the render provided by tipster OnLeaks last week.
On that note, the leakster himself confirmed that the Glyph-less Nothing Phone (2a) design he shared on 9 February 2024 was incorrect, and apologised for the mistake. The render also depicted the device to sport a vertical camera arrangement, which went against all of the leaks that came before. This also resulted in fellow tech insider Evan Blass (aka evleaks) to call out on the inaccuracy.
Sooo… Seems like my #Nothing Phone 2a leak was wrong because…
THIS actually ISN'T the #NothingPhone2a! (very fake look through non official press render) Sorry…😅

In any case, it now appears that even more sources are suggesting that the Phone (2a) will sport a vertical camera setup, which is the first for the company’s smartphones. However, it is still unclear whether it will still feature the Glyph lighting system at this time.
Despite officially confirming its name, Nothing itself has yet to confirm when the upcoming device will make its debut. In case you missed it, the Phone (2a) is already spotted in SIRIM’s database, indicating that a local launch is imminent in the near future.
