Motorola has unveiled a new smartwatch to its lineup called the Moto Watch 40. It is a more affordable option compared to the Moto Watch 70 and Watch 200 from last year, which runs on the brand’s own Moto Watch OS instead of Wear OS.
The Moto Watch 40 a 1.57-inch LCD display with curved sides and 100 custom watch faces. It is available in Phantom Black and Rose Gold with interchangeable silicone straps and a zinc alloy casing. Moreover, it offers dust and water resistance with an IP67 rating for protection. On the software side, it can show notifications from your phone and give seven-day summaries for the weather, but unfortunately, it cannot make or receive phone calls or reply to messages.
On the health side, the Moto Watch 40 has sensors to monitor your heart rate, blood oxygen levels, and sleep levels, along with Google Fit integration support. The company claims that the smartwatch can last up to 10 days on a single charge with its 240mAh cell. For charging, the watch can fully charge in just 25 minutes with a magnetic charging connector.
The Moto Watch 40 retails for US$65 (~RM310) for both colours. As of writing, the brand has not made an announcement on local pricing or availability.
