TCL has announced yet another device for its new 50 series, dubbed the 505. The phone is the eighth member in the lineup, offering entry-level specs as well as the company’s in-house NxtVision display while shipping with Android 14 out of the box.
The 505 sports a 6.75-inch 720p LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a paltry peak brightness of 400 nits, and the company’s NxtVision technology, which is a reflection-free coating. Inside the chassis, the phone runs on a MediaTek Helio G35 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a microSD card slot for expansion. Additionally, the phone comes with stereo speakers that can be pumped up to 200% volume.
On the photography side, the 505 features a 50MP main camera on the back alongside a 2MP depth sensor, while the notch cutout on the display houses an 5MP front shooter. Battery-wise, the smartphone is powered by a 5,010mAh capacity cell with support for 10W charging via USB-C.
The 505 is being offered in blue and grey colour options, although the pricing has yet to be revealed. There is no word yet from the company on the pricing and availability for the Malaysian market.
