Nothing’s smartphones are known for their distinct LED designs on the rear panel, dubbed as the Glyph interface, but the upcoming Phone (2a) might shed the stand-out feature. New leaks by OnLeaks and Smartprix have revealed what seem to be official images of the device, which completely lacks any LED setup on the back.
If the leaked images are to be believed, then the Phone (2a) will feature a new design that drops the Glyph interface as well as the semi-transparent back panel. Instead, it opts for a regular rear panel with graphics showcasing some of the internal components in a minimalist fashion.
The company has kept the specs of the phone under wraps but according to earlier reports, the Phone (2a) will apparently sport a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display and run on a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset. It is predicted to offer two 50MP camera sensors on the back and support 45W charging, just like the Phone (2), but it will most likely lack wireless charging support.
Nothing has already confirmed that the Phone (2a) will be launching soon but has yet to announce an official release date, although rumours suggest that it might debut during MWC 2024 in Barcelona. We can also expect the upcoming smartphone to arrive in Malaysia soon after its unveiling, given that it has already received SIRIM certification.
