Samsung is currently offering two of its high-end Odyssey gaming monitors at discounted prices. The monitors in question are the Odyssey G9 and 2nd generation Ark 2, and both monitors are being given some relatively generous discounts.
Starting with the Odyssey G9, the preorder price for Samsung’s ultrawide gaming monitor is currently set at RM4,799, down from RM5,999. For the arithmetically-challenged, that’s a price reduction of RM1,200. For that, you get a 49-inch ultrawide curved display with Dual QHD resolution and a maximum 240Hz refresh rate, and a VESA DisplayHDR1000 rating.
If an ultrawide gaming monitor doesn’t tickle your fancy and what you want is a 55-inch monstrosity, there is the Odyssey Ark 2, Samsung’s 2nd generation plus-sized gaming monitor. Like the G9, it has a curved display but a lower 165Hz refresh rate, and still comes with the Cockpit Mode that the brand says will provide its users with an elevated gaming experience. The party piece of the Ark 2, however, lies in its ability to transform into three different monitor simultaneously via its Multi View feature, when you flip the monitor from landscape into portrait mode.
The catch here is that, in order to get these discounts, both the Samsung Odyssey G9 and Ark 2 deals are only available as exclusive online orders. You’ll find the preorders for the monitors here and here, but to sweeten the pot, the Korean tech giant is also offering a further 5% discount on either monitor if they are your first purchase, the option to do a 0% interest installment plan up to 36 months, and free delivery. This promotion, which began on 1 February, will last until 18 February.
