The Infinix Note 40 series has been making appearances on several certification sites since last November and now, one of them has appeared in our local database. Specifically, the standard Note 40 has now been certified by SIRIM, paving the way for a Malaysian launch when the lineup gets announced.
Listed with the model number X6853, the phone received approval from SIRIM on 19 January 2024. According to other certification databases, the lineup will also have a Pro model, which has yet to be certified here. It is still unknown when exactly the brand plans on releasing the duo, but given the recent listings, we can expect the series to be announced in the next few months, succeeding last year’s Note 30 smartphones.
While nothing has been confirmed yet, the FCC database revealed that both devices will run on a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset and they are expected to ship with Android 14 out of the box. With the G99, the phones will only offer 4G connectivity.
Additionally, the base Note 40 will support 45W wired charging while the Pro will be getting 70W wired charging, although both will be compatible with 5W wireless charging. As for the camera setup, no detail has come out other than the series sporting three sensors on the back.
