Infinix has recently unveiled the Smart 8 Pro in India. It is an entry-level smartphone packed with a MediaTek chipset and a dual camera setup on its back, among other features. The brand‘s local branch has confirmed that the model will be coming to Malaysia later this month.
Based on its debut in India, the new Infinix Smart 8 Pro sports a 6.6-inch LCD display with 720 x 1620 px resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. Also onboard is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a microSD slot, loudspeakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB-C port.
Powering the phone is a MediaTek Helio G36 chipset, accompanied by up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. Additionally, it comes with a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support, Android 13 via Infinix’s XOS 13 interface, as well as dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity.
On the back of the Smart 8 Pro is a dual camera setup, helmed by a 50MP primary sensor and an “AI lens”. Meanwhile, housed within the punch-hole cutout on its display is an 8MP selfie camera.
The new Infinix Smart 8 Pro will be available in four colour options: Galaxy White, Rainbow Blue, Shiny Gold, and Timber Black. While its pricing has yet to be revealed, the company promises that the phone will be offered at an affordable price range once it launches. On that note, the Smart 8 Pro is slated to debut locally on 31 January 2024.
