It has been nearly three years since the original OnePlus Watch came out but we might be seeing its successor soon. According to leakster Max Jambor, the OnePlus Watch 2 will finally be unveiled next month during this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC).
While nothing has been officially confirmed by the brand yet, if the leak is true, then we can expect to see the smartwatch some time between 26 to 29 February 2024, which is when the MWC is scheduled to be held in Barcelona, Spain. Jumbor also claims that the company will be replacing the proprietary OS with Google’s Wear OS for the upcoming wearable.
An earlier leak back in November purports that the OnePlus Watch 2 will feature a bigger 1.43-inch AMOLED display and it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset. Similar to the Jumbor’s leak, it has been reported that the new smartwatch will run on Wear OS 4.
If the renders are to be believed, the OnePlus Watch 2 will sport a very similar design as its precedessor, equipping it with a circular screen and metal chassis. However, it seems that the display with be updated with a flat surface instead of having rounded edges.
