realme has officially unveiled its first ever smartphone under the new Note moniker, the Note 50. The phone made its debut in the Philippines but it will likely be making its way to Malaysia soon given certain hints and recent listings. It is part of a new lineup that will be offering unbelievably cheap entry-level devices that will be in the US$100 (~RM473) price range and below.
The Note 50 sports a 6.74-inch 720p LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 560 nits; the chassis has an IP54 dust and water resistance rating. Inside, the phone runs on a Unisoc T612 SoC with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot for storage expansion. It runs on realme UI T Edition based on Android 13 Go and comes with a 3.5mm audio jack.
For imaging, the Note 50 carries a 50MP primary camera on the back next to a depth sensor while inside the display notch, it houses a 5MP front snapper. Powering the affordable smartphone is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging via USB-C.
The Note 50 gets a price tag of only PHP3,599 (~RM302) and it comes in two colour options. Notably, the phone already received SIRIM certification on 18 January with the model number RMX3834, and given that realme Malaysia has also teased the arrival of the Note series, we can expect to see the phone here in the near future.
