Yes 5G has announced an update to its Power 35 postpaid plan, seemingly following suit to a recent change made by a certain orange telco. As revealed via a social media post shared earlier this evening, users of said plan are now able to permanently enjoy an additional 50GB to their monthly quota at no extra charge.
Just to keep you up to speed, Yes 5G first introduced Power 35 in May of last year as its most affordable postpaid option. Subscribing to this plan grants users with unlimited 5G/4G speeds and calls, as well as 100GB data cap shared with hotspot usage for only RM35 per month.
Today’s update bumps the plan’s quota to 150GB which, in turn, also boosts its hotspot limit. Despite being the lowest-tier, Power 35 now offers the highest hotspot data cap, exceeding the RM178/month Infinite Ultra’s limit of 110GB. However, the latter still offers its subscribers with unlimited 5G/4G usage, whereas users on the former may need to use their data sparingly.
On a related note, the telco today has included the vivo Y27 5G as part of its Power 35 Rahmah package, allowing customers to acquire the phone at only RM299 per month. Other smartphones offered under this initiative include the ZTE Blade A73 5G, Samsung Galaxy M14 5G, and vivo Y55+ 5G.
Yes 5G also recently opened pre-orders for the newly launched Samsung Galaxy S24 series, starting from RM17 per month. However, all three models are only offered together with its higher-tier Infinite+ postpaid plans.
