Beyond the Zenbook Duo and the Vivobook 16, ASUS also announced the ROG Zephyrus G16 and the TUF Gaming F16 gaming laptops. Notable here is that the Zephyrus G16 is the only representative for its line that made an appearance. The G14, which was announced as part of the company’s CES 2024 lineup, is strangely absent.
The silver lining here is that the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 is virtually unchanged between its current appearance and that from over a week ago. This means that we’re still looking at the familiar 16-inch 16:10 OLED 2,560 x 1,600 screen with a 240Hz refresh rate. Items that all configurations have in common include 32GB of RAM and a 90Wh battery.
For parts with options, the processor choices range from an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H up to a Core Ultra 9 185H, while your choice of GPU are from an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 to an RTX 4080. Storage options are a bit more limited in comparison, only having you choose between having 1TB or 2TB of M.2 PCIe 4 SSD.
In its base configuration, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 has an asking price of RM9,999, and is available by the end of the month. All other configurations will only be available sometime mid February, with no specific date being provided.
If you think that the price of the ROG Zephyrus G16 is a bit much, there’s still the ASUS TUF Gaming F16. There are no options when it comes to screen sizes here either, so we’re only looking at the 16-inch 16:10 WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200) screen with a 165Hz refresh rate. The processor here is a 13th gen Intel Core i7-13650HX, 16GB of RAM, 1TB of M.2 PCIe 4 SSD, and a 90Wh battery. The only real choice in hardware is the GPU, which is either an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 or 4060.
And with that, the prices of the ASUS TUF Gaming F16 are RM5,999 and RM6,299, respectively. Both will be available on shelves starting 24 January, less than a week away. You can find out more of both the Zephyrus and TUF laptops by heading to their product pages, linked here.
