realme has confirmed that the 12 Pro series will be coming to the Malaysian market soon. The company posted a teaser on its Malaysian Facebook page announcing that the realme 12 Pro Plus is “coming soon”, ahead of its global launch in India that is scheduled to take place in a couple of weeks.
While this is exciting news for fans of the brand, the teaser did not mention the vanilla versions of the 12 series. Similarly, its announcement for the global launch specifically advertised the 12 Pro lineup, meaning that it’s possible we’ll only see the non-Pro models at a later date. The realme 12 Pro series will be released to the international market on 29 January, so we can expect the Malaysian launch to follow not long afterwards.
As of writing, only two devices from the lineup have received local certification on the SIRIM database, namely the 12 Plus and the 12 Pro Plus. So far, the company has only revealed certain key aspects of the phone and has not even announced exactly how many phones will be unveiled.
The realme 12 Pro series will feature a 50MP Sony IMX890 primary sensor, a 64MP OmniVision OV64B telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, 120x digital zoom, and OIS, and an unspecified ultra-wide lens. As for the design, it will carry a giant circular camera bump on the back with a fluted bezel while the back panel itself will be made up of vegan leather.
