Chinese phone brand realme teased the introduction of a new product line called the Note. This comes via the company’s CEO Sky Li, or rather, his account on X, previously Twitter. While the official name was not shared, a leak suggests that it may be called the realme Note 1.
The leak in question points to said realme Note 1 being in direct competition with the Infinix Note 30 as well as the Redmi Note 13. Its supposed spec sheet involves a 6.67-inch Full HD 120Hz OLED screen, and it will have what is presumably a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset. The battery is rated at 5,000mAh, with a charging rate of up to 67W. Cameras are noted to be a 108MP + 8MP + 2MP combo at the back, and a 16MP shooter in front.

Also claimed as part of the leak is a launch window within January 2024 for the realme Note 1. All that being said though, there’s the usual cautionary reason to take this leak with a pinch of salt. And with the leak being unclear if it is referring to the 4G or 5G version of the Redmi Note 13 with a side mounted fingerprint sensor, it’s all the more reason to be skeptical.

Considering the brand doesn’t yet have a device with the word Note in its name, the realme Note 1 feels a lot like an eventuality. And this is coming at a time when the word has completely lost its meaning in the smartphone market, when phones are becoming bigger than ever before and the word simply serves as another series to clog up the market with. At any rate, we’ll see what the phone actually has to offer when its official launch does happen.
