Almost seven years after its release, it seems the Nintendo Switch will soon receive a successor, aptly called the “Nintendo Switch 2,” which is said to hit the shelves in “Fall 2024.” However, if AI Shark’s press release is anything to go by, then the date suggested is expectedly to fall in September.
First reported by Digital Trends, which came after the AI firm’s reveal that it was reviving the GameShark brand that would relaunch later this year. According to AI Shark, the release date of its product is scheduled “to coincide with the Nintendo Switch 2.”
Nintendo has not let out a squeak in regards to the new console, making this the first ever mention of the Switch 2’s release schedule. There have been reports about the console that point towards a 2024 release date, such as the time it was supposedly demonstrated behind closed doors at last year’s Gamescom and that Nintendo briefed Activision on the latest console.
Since the news has blown up, AI Shark was quick to revise its press release, from coinciding with the Switch 2 to “in time for the holiday season 2024.” The company further emphasised that “Nintendo has not officially clarified launch.”

Meanwhile, Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier received a completely different response from an AI Shark representative, who claimed the company was only making an educated guess. Be that as it may, the Switch 2’s release date should be taken with a massive grain of salt, and we should wait on Nintendo’s official announcement.
