Last month, Huawei unveiled the MatePad Pro 13.2 and the MateBook D 16. At the time, local pricing details were not yet known, but that changed today as the company has launched both the tablet and the laptop in Malaysia.
In case you missed it, the Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2 features – you guessed it – a 13.2-inch OLED screen with a 2.8K resolution and a refresh rate of 144Hz. Inside, it sports a Kirin 9000s chipset, 12GB of RAM, and a choice between 256GB and 512GB of storage space. The company has locked these to one of the two available colours, but well get to that in a bit. The battery of the tablet is rated at 10,100mAh, with support for 88W charging.
As for the Huawei MateBook D 16, it comes with a 16-inch 16:10 aspect ratio Full HD IPS display. For it’s processor, it looks like the Intel Core i7-13700H option did not make its way to the local market, which leaves us with the 13th gen Core i5-13420H and Core i9-13900H processors, as well as a 12th gen Intel Core i5-12450H option. While the laptop was initially announced with only 16GB of RAM, an 8GB option has been made available in Malaysia. The battery is rated at 70Whr.
Locally, the Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2 is priced at RM4,599 for the 12GB + 256GB configuration, which is only available in black. The 12GB + 512GB option, on the other hand, is only available in green with a price of RM4,999. These are available for pre-order until 25 January, with free gifts being thrown in while stocks last.
The Huawei MateBook D16, on the other hand, only comes in silver, but otherwise has four configurations. The first it so have it with the 12th gen Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage for RM2,899. Bump the the RAM to 16GB, and the price goes up to RM3,199. Then there’s the 13th gen Core 15 + 16GB + 1TB config, which is priced at RM3,699. And finally, the 13th gen Core i9 + 16GB + 1TB option is priced at RM5,299. All are similarly open for pre-orders today, but the window closes for the first three options on 18 January, while the last one stays open until 2 February.
To find out more, or to place your own pre-orders if you’re interested, you can do so via the official Huawei website. Alternatively, you can do so via the brand’s official stores on Lazada and Shopee. Also worth mentioning is that the Huawei FreeClip, which had its price announced last month, has now been made available.
