ZTE Malaysia seems to have relaunched the Redmagic 9 Pro for the local market, this time at a lower price. The local pricing of the phone was actually announced almost two weeks ago but the company told Amanz that apparently, the previous version sold on its Shopee Mall store was the global set that did not come with a Malaysian warranty, whereas this official version does.
To refresh your memory, the Redmagic 9 Pro sports a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits and Gorilla Glass 5 for protection, as well as a built-in RGB fan on the back to keep it cool during long gaming sessions. Inside, it runs on the brand new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor from Qualcomm with a maximum configuration of 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
For photography, the rear setup features a 50MP main unit with OIS alongside a 50MP ultra-wide lens, while the front hides a hidden under-display camera with a 16MP sensor. Juicing the device is a large 6,500mAh battery with support for 80W wired charging.
The Redmagic 9 Pro now starts from RM3,499 for the 12GB+256GB variant while the 16GB+512GB model costs RM4,399. Pre-orders will open up between 10 to 14 January 2024 through its Malaysian Shopee Mall store and during this promo period, the brand is offering a free pair of wireless earbuds with the phone.
