As previously teased, OPPO has officially launched the Find X7 series in China, its latest flagship smartphone lineup. The series consists of the vanilla X7 as well as the X7 Ultra, which replaces the Pro moniker from previous releases. The Ultra is equipped with bleeding edge specs and its main selling point is its impressive Hasselblad camera setup, which we’ll talk about in a bit.
First up, let’s start with the headliner. The Ultra model sports a 6.8-inch 1440p LTPO AMOLED display with an adaptive refresh rate of between 1-120Hz and a ridiculous peak brightness of 4,500 nits. Under the hood, it runs on the latest Qualcomm chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Powering the flagship is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
The Find X7 Ultra features four cameras with Hasselblad tuning, made up of a 50MP Sony LYT-900 1-inch main shooter with OIS, a 50MP Sony LYT-600 ultra-wide shooter that doubles as a macro lens, a 50MP Sony IMX890 telephoto snapper with 3x optical zoom and OIS, and a 50MP Sony IMX858 telephoto unit with OIS, 6x optical zoom, and up to 120x digital zoom. Moreover, the brand says that a 16-bit RAW MAX mode will be coming in an update in March.
Meanwhile, the base Find X7 is equipped with a 6.78-inch 1080p AMOLED display with similar specs as the Ultra, including a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and a 4,500-nit peak brightness. Inside, the company opted for a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 for the lower-end sibling with a 5,000mAh battery and 100W wired charging, but no wireless charging.
The triple-camera setup on the standard X7 also comes with Hasselblad branding, which includes a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide with autofocus, and a 64MP telephoto lens with OIS and 3x optical zoom as well as 120x digital zoom. Both phones house a 32MP selfie shooter, although it seems that only the one on the X7 comes with autofocus.
For now, it is still unknown when OPPO plans on releasing the Find X7 to the international market. However, the company has confirmed that the X7 Ultra will unfortunately be exclusive to China.
