Acer has announced four curved monitors ahead of CES 2024, two of which are of the Mini LED variety, with the remaining to being OLED. The highlight among the four though is probably the Acer Predator Z57, one of the two Mini LED displays that got unveiled.
As the name suggests, the Acer Predator Z57 measures 57 inches across, and is a curved Dual UHD (7,680 x 2,160) monitor sporting a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It has a peak brightness of 1,000 nits alongside its Vesa DisplayHDR 1000 certification, and a DCI-P3 98% colour gamut. Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4.
The feature that sets itself apart from the rest is the ability to treat it as two separate 4K displays. This is done by the Acer Predator Z57 outputting from two different sources simultaneously. Though it’s unclear in what way the dual 10W built-in speakers will work in such a situation.
Beyond the Predator Z57 is the Acer Predator X34 V3, which is a 34-inch 21:9 ultrawide QHD (3,440 x 1,440) Mini LED screen. Colour coverage sees a slight drop with a DCI-P3 94% rating, but refresh rate goes up to 180Hz instead. The DisplayPort 1.4 makes another appearance, but the two other ports here are HDMI 2.0 instead. Similarly, its two speakers are now rated at 5W.
Getting to the two OLED models, these are the Acer Predator X39 and X34 X. The key difference between these two being their sizes, indicated by their name. Beyond that, both feature UWQHD (3,440 x 1,440) resolutions and up to 240Hz refresh rates, and a DCI-P3 99% colour gamut.
Despite their varying spec sheets, all four monitors announced by Acer share two things in common. They all feature AMD FreeSync Premium, a USB-C 90W PD port, and a KVM switch, the latter letting you use switch sources without having to reconnect your peripherals.
For now, the company does not have local pricing and availability details for any of these monitors. But for what it’s worth, the Predator Z57 is priced in the US at US$2,499.99 (~RM11,627), while the X34 V3 has a US$899.99 (~RM4,186) price tag. As for the OLED models, the X39 and the X34 X will cost US$1,499.99 (~RM6,976) and US$1,299.99 (~RM6,046), respectively.
