HONOR has officially revealed the launch date of the Magic V2 for the Malaysian market after teasing its arrival last month. The foldable phone was first unveiled back in July 2023 and after half a year, it will finally reach the hands of Malaysians.
To refresh your memory, the Magic V2 is the world’s thinnest foldable smartphone to date, measuring in at 9.9mm when folded and 4.7mm when unfolded, which is apparently about the thickness of three credit cards stacked up together. Inside, it contains a large 7.92-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate while the cover screen uses a brighter 6.43-inch 120Hz LTPO OLED panel.
Given that it’s not exactly brand new, it runs on last year’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with a 5,000mAh battery and 66W wired charging support. For photography, the back of the phone is equipped with a 50MP main shoot, a 20MP telephoto lens with 2.5x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultra-wide lens, while both displays have a 16MP selfie camera each.
The Magic V2 will be launched in Malaysia on 16 January at 8 PM. While we know all the key specs of the phone, we’re still waiting for the reveal of the colours, prices, and configurations that will be offered for the local market, so stay tuned.
