When the Apple Vision Pro was first officially announced back in June of last year, it came with a pretty long waiting time compared to the other announcements by the fruit company. The initial window was announced as yearly next year, with more reports narrowing the window down as time passed by. In November, reports at the time pointed to a release in March of this year. But more recently, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg predicts a release as soon as next month.
In his Power On newsletter, Gurman claims that the iPhone maker had enough of the Apple Vision Pro headset in the US for a February launch. Paving the way for this may be an announcement related to the mixed reality headset coming next week, so that it doesn’t get drowned out by all the news coming out of CES 2024.
To back these up, Gurman claims that Apple store employees in the US are being flown in to its Cupertino HQ for “secret trainings for a new product”. Beyond these trainings, stateside stores will also have “rare, three-hour meetings for all employees” on 21 January. Sources to Gurman believe that these are for the Apple Vision Pro, even if the fruit company doesn’t yet explicitly tell them so.
Of course, all these developments are limited to the US. But it may still mean that the Apple Vision Pro will show up in other markets soon after, should this prediction end up being accurate. As for where the headset will actually be available, Gurman predicts that China, Canada and the UK to be among the first after the US.
