Brands have started showcasing products ahead of CES 2024, and Dell is among them. The veils are off of what the company calls the UltraSharp Curved Thunderbolt Hub Monitors, which come in 40- and 34-inch flavours. One claim that the company has for these monitors is the TUV Rheinland five-star eye comfort certification.
With the word Hub being in the name, you’d imagine that the Dell UltraSharp Curved Thunderbolt Hub monitors come with plenty of ports. And you’d be right. The 40-inch variant monitor features one Thunderbolt 4 port with up to 140W power delivery, with two other USB-C ports, as well as four USB-A ports. Going with these are a HDMI 2.1 port with Fixed Rate Link (FRL), a DisplayPort 2.1, and an RJ45 LAN port supporting speeds of up to 2.5Gbps. The larger size also means a 5K (5,120 x 2,160) resolution.
Going down a size to 34 inches doesn’t deprive the Dell UltraSharp Curved Thunderbolt Hub monitor of much, in terms of specs. The main difference beyond size is naturally its resolution, going down to WQHD (2,560 x 1,440), but its Thunderbolt 4 port’s power delivery is also rated down to 90W. Other things the two Dell UltraSharp Curved Thunderbolt Hub monitors have in common include the likes of 99% DCI-P3 colour range, Vesa DisplayHDR 600 certification, and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
Dell notes that the UltraSharp Curved Thunderbolt Hub monitors will be available starting the tail end of February. That being said, the company did not share what their local prices will be. It will likely be closer to said release window that the company will reveal their prices.
