Before the year ended, HONOR had officially launched the HONOR X50 Pro in China. The phone serves as the official upgrade to the HONOR X50 that was launched halfway through 2023, featuring a more robust processing unit and camera array by comparison.
For starters, running the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, with 12GB of RAM + 256GB of storage. While there are no alternative versions of the device that feature upgraded RAM or storage, you can extend the former up to a maximum of 20GB. Additionally, the device runs on HONOR’s own MagicOS 7.2 and Android 13.
The HONOR X50 Pro has a curved 6.78-inch 1,200 x 2,652 OLED display and is capable of up to a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the screen also has 1,920 Hz PWM dimming, 10-bit colour support, and an embedded fingerprint sensor. On the top of the screen is an 8MP selfie camera that’s housed within a punch-hole cutout.
On the topic of cameras, on the flipside of the device is a massive camera ring that houses the 108MP main camera that has a f/1.75 aperture and a 1/1,67” type sensor. There is also a 2MP sensor on the opposite end of the camera ring. Much like its predecessor, this camera ring only has these two lenses and an LED flash, which is one camera housing less compared to the HONOR X9b.
Lastly, powering the HONOR X50 Pro is a massive 5,800mAh Li-Po battery with 35W wired charging and 7.5 reverse wired charging support.
The device will be available in black and green colour options. The phone is currently going for CNY2,799 (~RM1,809). At the time of writing, HONOR Malaysia has not specified local availability or pricing.
