Nubia first unveiled the Redmagic 9 Pro last month, alongside a Plus model. While there’s no news of the latter yet, the company has announced that the former will be entering the local market when the new year rolls around. There’s no major change to the spec sheet either.
But in case you missed it, the Redmagic 9 Pro has a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen, with a resolution of 1,116 x 2,480 and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. This announcement also reveals that it has a touch sampling rate of up to 2,000Hz. The brains of the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, and powering it is a 6,500mAh battery with a charging rate of up to 80W.
On the imaging front, the Redmagic 9 Pro has a 50MP main + 50 wide-angle combo at the back, with a 16MP secondary shooter under its display. Other elements on the phone include 22,000 RPM RGB cooling fans, one of the key features differentiating it from other gaming phones out there.
For its RAM and storage configuration, the Redmagic 9 Pro has 12GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB options, which are priced at RM3,699 and RM4,499 respectively. The former is only available in the Sleet colour option, or the basic black variant. On the other hand, the latter only gets the Cyclone and Snowfall colourway, which are the fancier versions in black and white respectively, what we’ve seen during the initial launch.
As mentioned earlier, all of these will be available starting 1 January. Though for the first week, it will be available exclusively on the brand’s official store on Shopee. There will also be a RM750 discount for all three variants of the Redmagic 9 Pro during this promo period as well.
