Within the month, we saw the realme C67 getting its SIRIM certification, as well as its initial launch in India. It was only a matter of time before the phone gets a local launch, and now the company has shared the date as to when that will happen. But it looks the phone that will be showing up on our shores will be quite different compared to what we saw during its initial unveiling.
To start, the realme C67 that will be in the local market looks to sport a slightly different two-camera setup at the back. Rather than the round camera island that was shown during its initial launch, the Malaysian model looks to have them arranged in a pill-shaped bump. Speaking of bump, the main camera looks to be bumped up from a 50MP shooter to a 108MP unit. No mention of the other cameras, which may be left unchanged.
The teaser provided by the brand also notes that the local version of the realme C67 will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, which is a first for the company’s C series. Which chipset exactly was not mentioned. For context, the model that was launched earlier in India had a MediaTek Dimensity 6100 Plus instead.
It remains to be seen if there are other changes to the realme C67 locally that would make it more distinct from the what we’ve seen before. For that, as well as the price of the device, we will have to wait until 4 January, which is when the company says the phone will be launched.
