A few months ago, OPPO launched the A58, and while it came in 5G and 4G variants, only the latter made its way to our shores. Over the weekend, the company has announced the OPPO A59 in India, one of the major markets for the brand. And it looks like there will only be one variant this time around.
Going through its spec sheet, the display of the OPPO A59 i9s a 5.56-inch HD+ (1,612 x 720) screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. On the inside is a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset, powered by a 5,000mAh battery which supports 33W charging. Storage space is pretty limited, at 128GB, and there are only two RAM options, which are 4GB and 6GB.
The OPPO A59 has a two-camera setup at its back, consisting of a 13MP main and 2MP bokeh shooters. In front, it has an 8MP unit instead, sitting in a waterdrop notch. The entire package also comes with an IP54 rating, which is an interesting element to highlight for an entry-level device.
At any rate, the OPPO A59 with its two RAM options are listed on Amazon India as being priced at INR17,999 (~RM999) and INR19,999 (~RM1,110) for the 4GB and 6GB RAM options, respectively. No word on when the phone will be making their way to our shores just yet. But judging from the previous model, while it is likely to happen, it may end up being quite the wait.
