Back in August, the POCO M6 Pro launched in its primary market of India, but notably without a base model. Now, months after the fact, said base model finally gets the veil lifted off of it, with a pretty familiar-looking spec sheet.
First off, we’re looking at a 6.74-inch 1,600 x 720 screen with a refresh rate of 60Hz and a peak brightness of 600 nits. The brains of the POCO M6 is a MediaTek Dimensity 6100 Plus, with a 5,000mAh battery that supports up to 18W charging powering the device. It comes with a few RAM and storage configurations, so we’ll get to that in a bit.
For its cameras, the POCO M6 has a 50MP primary shooter with an unspecified accompanying unit at the back. In front, it has a 5MP shooter sitting in a notch on the screen. Cameras aside, the POCO M6 spec sheet is effectively the same as what you’ll find on the Redmi 13C, which itself has a similar feature set as the POCO C65.
As mentioned earlier, the POCO M6 comes with a few RAM and storage configurations. First is a 4GB + 128GB config, which is priced at INR10,499 (~RM583). Then there’s the 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB variants, which cost, INR11,499 (~RM639) and INR 13,499 (~RM750), respectively. No word on when these will be available on our shores, but to be fair, unless the badge on the back of the phone is important to you, the Redmi 13C works just as well.
