HONOR officially launched the self-named HONOR 90, its latest “flagship killer” for the Chinese market. The launch comes less than a fortnight after the launch of its HONOR X8b and X7b, giving customers another model to consider for this Christmas.
Specs-wise, the HONOR 90 GT is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, up to 24GB of RAM, and 100W charging. The device features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 1200 x 2664px resolution, a peak brightness of 2600 nits, a 3,840Hz PWM, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an in-screen fingerprint sensor.
The handheld sports a dual rear camera set up with a 50MP main camera that runs on a Sony IMX906 sensor and OIS, and a 12MP ultrawide lens. In front, situated within the punch-hole cutout on the display is a 16MP selfie camera. Storage for the device starts at 256GB and goes up to 1TB. Alongside this, you have the option of choosing between 12GB, 16GB, and 24GB of RAM; the latter of the three is the most on any HONOR smartphone to date
The new device runs on HONOR’s own MagicOS 7.2, which is based on Android 14. Along with its other features, the HONOR 90 GT has a 5,000mAh battery and 100W fast charging. The smartphone comes in Blue, Black, and Gold colours. The base model 12GB RAM/256GB starts at CNY2,599 (~RM1,684) while its 24GB RAM/1TB storage costs upwards of CNY3,699 (~RM2,397). The handheld will be available in China starting 26 December. HONOR has to announce the product’s global release.
