The realme C51 is one of the brand’s newest entry-level smartphones and now, less than three months after its launch here, the phone has gotten even cheaper. Originally priced at RM549, the company has announced that the C51 is getting a RM50 price cut to just RM499, which is even more significant than its RM529 promotional launch price.
As a refresher, the affordable device sports a 6.7-inch 720p LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 560 nits. Moreover, it packs the brand’s Mini Capsule feature, which is its own take on the Dynamic Island which has colourful animations for notifications and charging indications.
Inside the chassis, the C51 runs on a Unisoc Tiger T612 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, as well as a microSD card slot for up to 2TB of storage expansion. For connectivity, it supports 4G, Bluetooth 5.0, and Wi-Fi 5; additionally, it is equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The camera setup on the back is comprised of a 50MP primary unit next to a depth sensor while the front houses a 5MP selfie shooter inside the water-drop notch. Powering it is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W charging.
You can find the C51 with its new price reduction on the brand’s Shopee and Lazada pages. It comes in two colour options but only a single configuration.
