Maxis today announced that it has signed a collaboration agreement with TM, extending its access to the latter’s high-speed broadband (HSBB) premium services until 30 June 2029. With this, the telco aims to continue providing its customers with competitive fixed broadband offerings and value added services.
“The partnership will enable Maxis to expand the reach of its high-speed internet connectivity to even more premises nationwide, complementing its own-build fibre network,” it said via an official statement. The telco noted that it currently provides fibre connectivity to more than 700,000 homes and businesses across Malaysia.
In addition to standard HSBB access, Maxis says the premium services by TM include additional requirements that will help it better serve customers and improve efficiency. Most notably, these also consist of one-stop connectivity and digital solutions offerings for enterprise customers.
The collaboration between the two companies traces back to 2010, where Maxis became the first telco to sign a HSBB access agreement with TM. Earlier this year, the latter also secured access to Maxis’ 4G Multi Operator Core Network (MOCN) as well as 4G and 2G Domestic Roaming Services to enhance its mobile connectivity nationwide.
