Huawei has officially revealed the pricing for its unique pair of earbuds announced last week, the FreeClip. The open-ear buds offer an interesting design that sets itself apart from its competitors by making them somewhat resemble earrings when worn.
The FreeClip is made up of three main components, which are the Comfort Bean, the Acoustic Ball which houses the 10.8 mm dual-magnet driver, and the C-bridge that connects them. With these components, the company claims that the earbuds offer a comfortable and ergonomic fit while providing IP54-rated dust and sweat resistance.
As for the open-ear aspect, the FreeClip is equipped with what the brand calls a Reverse Sound Waves system, which minimises sound leakage to ensure privacy. With calling, the each bud uses three microphones and AI to reduce wind noise and pick up voices for improved clarity. For the battery life, the earbuds can last eight hours on a single charge and up to a total of 36 hours with the charging case, which can be charged through USB-C or wirelessly.
The FreeClip earbuds can be pre-ordered today in black and purple colour options with a price tag of RM899. It is available through the brand’s website as well as its Shopee and Lazada stores, with free gifts including a Band 8 for pre-orders.
