U Mobile has announced that its U Home Fibre broadband service is now cheaper than ever with the telco slashing the prices of the plans and adding a new one. Moreover, the availability of the company’s home fibre subscription has now expanded to over a million more homes along the western coast of Peninsular Malaysia thanks to its partnership with Time where it leverages on the latter’s existing fibre infrastructure.
It is launching a new 300Mbps U Home Fibre plan at a cost of RM139/month, meaning that customers can now choose between four plans with differing speeds. As for the existing plans, the base 100Mbps package went down from RM129 to just RM99, while the 500Mbps plan got significantly cheaper from RM199 to just RM159 and the fastest 1Gbps plan got a modest reduction from RM299 to RM289.
Not only did U Mobile permanently reduce the price of the plans, but if you sign up between 19 December 2023 to 31 March 2024, you’ll be able to subscribe to the home fibre service for even cheaper for 24 months. With the limited-time discount, it costs RM79 for the 100Mbps plan, RM119 for the 300Mbps plan, RM139 for the 500Mbps plan, and RM269 for the 1Gbps plan.
Subscribing to U Home Fibre will also get you a free Wi-Fi 6 router and installation. Of course, if your home is not within the service’s coverage area, you could also check out U Mobile’s 5G home broadband plan that currently costs RM68/month with no contract.
