Amazfit Malaysia has announced that the Active Edge is finally arriving for the local market later this week. In case you missed it, the smartwatch was originally unveiled alongside the standard Active model back in October, with the latter debuting much earlier in Malaysia last month.
The Amazfit Active Edge is the more rugged of the two, featuring a reinforced polycarbonate shell, four physical buttons, and 10ATM water resistance. Its display is a circular 1.32-inch TFT LCD with 360 x 360 px resolution, while found on the back of smartwatch is the brand’s BioTracker PPG biometric sensor with heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep, and stress tracking capabilities.
Much like the standard model, the Active Edge runs on Amazfit’s Zepp OS interface, offering numerous health and fitness features as well as a slew of typical smartwatch functions. Additionally, it also comes with GPS, QZSS, GALILEO and GLONASS satellite-based positioning support, Bluetooth 5.0 BLE, as well as 250MB storage capacity for music and so on.
As for battery, Amazfit claims that the wearable is capable of lasting up to 16 days on a single charge when used as a regular smartwatch, and up to 20 hours with GPS activated. Apart from that, available colourways include Lava Black, Midnight Pulse, and Mint Green.
The Amazfit Active Edge is set to arrive in Malaysia on 22 December 2024. It will retail for RM599 and can be purchased via the brand’s official online stores on Shopee and Lazada. If a more traditional design is something you’d fancy, you may want to consider the standard Active model instead, which is also currently retailing at RM599.
