vivo has finally announced that the X100 series is indeed coming to Malaysia. While this isn’t much of a surprise given how both phones were spotted on SIRIM last week, the teaser means that we can expect the series to be available in the Malaysian market sooner than expected.
To refresh your memory, the X100 lineup was unveiled in China last month while the global launch took place just a few days ago. They are the brand’s latest flagship smartphones and are the first in the market to feature the high-end MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset, consisting of the standard model and the X100 Pro.
The two devices sport a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits and a 120Hz refresh rate. The base variant uses a 5,000mAh battery while the Pro model gets a bigger 5,400mAh paired with 120W and 100W wired charging speeds respectively, although the latter makes up for the slower charging with the addition of 50W wireless charging.
The X100 Pro offers a 1-inch 50MP primary sensor while the non-Pro is equipped with a smaller 50MP unit and both seem to have the same 50MP ultra-wide lens. Moreover, they both come with telephoto lenses; the vanilla phone has a 64MP lens with 3x optical zoom and the Pro packs a 50MP lens with 4.3x optical zoom.
While the brand has confirmed the eventual arrival of the phone here, it is still keeping the exact local launch date under wraps. To learn more about the phone, you can check out our hands-on experience with it.
