The Intel Meteor Lake Core Ultra mobile CPUs will soon start showing up on laptops that you can buy. So naturally laptop makers are announcing that they have such hardware coming up once the new year rolls around. One of them is Acer, with two laptops coming in within the first quarter of 2024.
First on the list is the Acer Swift Go 14, which can have up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H CPU as well as an Intel Arc GPU. The display is a 1440p QHD OLED screen wiht up to 90Hz refresh rate. The brand claims that this laptop can have a battery life of up to 12.5 hours, with the entire package weighing in at 1.32kg.
From work laptops to gaming ones, the company also announced the Acer Predator Triton Neo 16. Alongside the Intel Core Ultra H-series CPU is up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 GPU. As you’d expect from a gaming laptop, refresh rate is beefed up to 165Hz, with the display resolution rated at 3.2K. As you’d have probably guessed from the resolution, this is a 16:10 screen. Going alongside all these is a three-zone RGB keyboard befitting a gaming laptop.
Despite these announcements, none of these laptops will be available anytime soon. The Acer Swift Go 14 will first be available in the EMEA region this month, and then in the US in January, with a starting price of US$799.99 (~RM3,736). As for the Predator Triton Neo 16, this is only coming in March, and with a starting price of US$1,499.99 (~RM7,004). Local pricing and availability details will likely only be available as we approach these dates.
