In addition to the MatePad Pro 13.2 and FreeClip, Huawei also officially launched the MateBook D 16. The laptop is a refresh of the lineup, having been updated with the latest Intel CPUs available at the moment.
Specifically, the new MateBook D 16 is available in three CPU options, all from Intel’s current 13th Gen Core Series mobile CPUs. Those options include the Core i5-13500H, Core i7-13700H, and Core i9-13900H, all of which also feature Iris Xe integrated graphics. Other internal specifications include 16GB RAM and a choice between 512GB and 1TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD. There is also Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 wireless connectivity, and powering it all is standard 60WHr.
On the outside, the MateBook D 16 sports a 16-inch IPS panel with 16:10 aspect ratio, with FHD+ (1920 x 1200) resolution. Additional details include a maximum brightness of 300 nits, a contrast ratio of 1200:1, and a 178° viewing angle. Ports-wise, the laptop comes with a healthy number of USB-C and USB-A ports, an HDMI out, and a 3.5 audio jack combo. Oh, and the power button of the laptop also doubles as a fingerprint scanner, which is also Windows Hello compliant.
The Huawei MateBook D 16 can be preordered via the brand’s official Shopee and Lazada online stores. Local pricing is still not available and the RM9,999 price tag that you see on the sites are just placeholders until such a detail is made official. As an extra added bonus, if you preorder the laptop between now and 18 December, customers will be able to redeem a Huawei Sound Joy worth RM699 at just RM1.
