Samsung Malaysia has announced a limited time combo which pairs its Galaxy Buds FE earbuds with a Pokemon Eco Friends Buds Cover. As you may recall, the latter was previously unveiled late last month, consisting of three different designs based on the Great Ball, Master Ball and Ultra Ball from the popular video game franchise.
As revealed by the brand, the cover chosen for this combo is the blue, white and red Great Ball – the variant that was missing from our initial coverage. Keep in mind that the accessory is merely a cosmetic addon for compatible Galaxy Buds cases, and the button in front is only for display. There is a cavity on the back of the cover which allows you to plug a USB-C cable, saving you the trouble of removing the case for charging.
Meanwhile, the included Samsung Galaxy Buds FE is the Graphite colour option, which features a white shell for its case. To recap, the buds are equipped with the brand’s new 1-way speaker that promises to deliver rich sounds with deep and powerful bass, Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) with Ambient Sound mode via six onboard microphones, Bluetooth 5.2 with multi-device auto switch, touch controls, and SmartThings Find support.
Each side of the Galaxy Buds FE is capable of lasting up to 8.5 hours of playback on a single charge with ANC off, and up to a total of 30 hours when used together with its accompanying case. With ANC activated, battery life drops to 6 hours and 21 hours respectively.
According to Samsung, the Galaxy Buds FE x Pokemon Eco Friends Buds Cover combo is available now until 31 December 2023 via its official website or participating Samsung Experience Stores nationwide. The bundle is valued at RM399, which is the same price as the buds on their own – meaning that the Poke Ball cover is added in for free. For those who just want the Great Ball cover or its other two variants, Samsung says these are available exclusively via its Experience Stores for RM169 each.
