Tecno has unveiled a new entry-level smartphone called the Spark 20C. It’s the brand’s latest budget phone to feature a lineup of colourful designs as well as the Dynamic Port, its self-designed feature that resembles Apple’s Dynamic Island.
The Spark 20C sports a 6.6-inch 720p LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and it is equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. While the company did not name the exact chipset that the phone runs on, it’s described as an octa-core processor with Cortex-A53 units clocked at 2.2GHz, which might be a Mediatek Helio G36 SoC. This is paired with 128GB of internal storage and up to 8GB of RAM, along with a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
For photography, the Spark 20C has a 50MP main camera on the back next to an “AI cam” and an 8MP selfie snapper sitting inside the cutout with the Dynamic Port. The entry-level is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W charging via USB-C. Additionally, it has a 3.5mm audio jack and stereo speakers.
The pricing and availability for the Spark 20C has not been disclosed yet, but it is reported that it might cost US$130 (~RM607). With that, the company has not announced whether or not the phone will be sold in Malaysia.
