Garmin is launching yet another smartwatch for the Malaysian market, the quatix 7 Pro. This watched is tailored for those living a life at sea, with a design and features built specifically for a marine lifestyle including two new apps.
To start with, the quatix 7 Pro packs a 1.3-inch AMOLED display with a scratch-resistant sapphire lens inside a plastic case with a titanium bezel with carbon coating, a metal button guard, and metal-protected lugs. It even has a built-in LED flashlight with strobe modes and a red-light mode to preserve night vision in the dark. For navigation, it is equipped with multi-band GPS and SatIQ technology along with preloaded TopoActive maps and BlueChart g3 coastal charts and LakeVü g3 inland maps.
The new Trolling Motor Remote app gives anglers the ability to control their Force trolling motors from
anywhere on the boat while the Fish Forecast app tracks the solar and lunar movements to find the best time for fishing. Aside from the usual workout tracking, the watch can even keep track of activities such as sail racing, wakesurfing, water skiing, and more.
Of course, it also comes with the standard health sensors to monitor sleep, heart rate, blood oxygen and such. The company claims that the quatix 7 Pro can last up to 16 days with regular use and up to 75 hours with GPS enabled, depending on the mode used.
The quatix 7 Pro will be available from mid-December with a retail price of RM4,950. It will be available for purchase through the brand’s Shopee, Lazada, and AECO online stores as well as its own stores and authorised retailers.
