Way back in March, realme unveiled a new flagship device called the GT3, which was acclaimed for having the world’s fastest charging speed on a smartphone. Now, almost nine months later, it has finally appeared on the SIRIM database, hinting an imminent launch in Malaysia.
Listed with the model number RMX3709, the phone got its local approval on 10 November. Excitingly, the name on the listing confirms that the Malaysian market will indeed receive the shockingly-fast 240W charging capability, which the brand claims can fully juice up the GT3 in nine minutes.
To recap, the GT3 sports a 6.74-inch AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,400 nits. It runs on Qualcomm’s last-gen Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and is paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, although the configuration offered could differ in Malaysia. The device is powered by a battery with a below-average capacity of 4,600mAh, but the 240W fast charging should make up for it.
For photography, the GT3 features a 50MP main camera on the back with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 16MP front shooter. Next to the camera is an interesting-looking transparent window showcasing the Snapdragon chip, surrounded by an RGB light system. We don’t know when realme might launch the phone here or how much it will cost, but for reference, the global pricing starts from US$649 (~RM3,015).
