vivo today has officially confirmed that its Y27s mid-range smartphone is launching in Malaysia on 25 November 2023. As you may recall, the device recently made its debut in Indonesia earlier this month, while we’ve also discovered that it has already been listed in SIRIM’s e-ComM database.
To quickly recap, the brand’s latest mid-range smartphone offers 6.64-inch LED LCD display with FHD+ (2388 x 1080px) resolution, 90HHz refresh rate, and 650 nits peak brightness. Also onboard is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual nano SIM with microSD card support, a USB-C port, as well as water and dust resistance rating of IP54.
Under the hood, the vivo Y27s packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset, but unlike its debut in Indonesia, the device will only be offered in a single 8GB + 256GB trim locally. Besides that, it also comes with a 5,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging support, Android 13 via Funtouch OS 13, as well as dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC wireless connectivity.
Much like its siblings under the same series, the phone features a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP f/1.8 primary and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor. Meanwhile, situated within the punch-hole cutout on its display is an 8MP f/2.0 selfie camera.
The vivo Y27 will be available for RM799 via the brand’s experience stores nationwide, as well as its official online stores on Shopee and Lazada. Colour options include Garden Green and Burgundy Black.
