OPPO is gearing up to launch the latest entry to its mid-range Reno smartphone series in China soon. Revealed through a series of postings on Weibo is the new Reno11 line-up, which is slated to debut next week on 23 November 2023.
As expected, OPPO is still keeping further information regarding the upcoming series under wraps, with the only few details shared being its design. On that note, the Reno11, or at least a variant of it, is confirmed to be available in four different colourways: Moonstone, Flourite Blue, Turquoise, and Obsidian Black. The first of which is emphasised as the hero colour, featuring an eye-fetching marble-like finish.
The phone itself is shown to feature an oval-shaped camera island on its back, with what appears to be a triple sensor setup housed within it. Given that the phone is part of a series, it is very likely that what is shown is the high-end Pro variant. It is unclear whether the vanilla model will sport a similar design, though leaks are suggesting that the differences between the two are very minor.
That said, the rumour mill is claiming that the Reno11 Pro will feature a curved OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 2,160Hz PWM dimming. Meanwhile, its internals consist of a Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chipset with unspecified LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, as well as a 4,700mAh battery with 80W fast charging support via USB-C.
Imaging-wise, it is said that the phone will feature a 50MP Sony LYT-700 primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 32MP Sony IMX709 telephoto with 2x optical zoom capability. Besides that, the Pro model allegedly comes with dual speakers, a plastic frame, and a weight of 190g.
Regarding the vanilla Reno11 variant, prior leaks suggest that it will feature a flat display with a lower resolution, a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chip, a 4,800mAh battery with 67W fast charging support, and a lighter weight of 184g. In terms of photography, it is believed that this model comes with a lower-tier Sony LYT-600 primary camera, but maintains the same ultra-wide and telephoto from the Pro.
As always, we’ll only know for sure if these rumoured specifications are accurate or not once OPPO spills all the beans. While we know for sure that the Reno11 series will be debuting in China next week, the same can’t be said for its availability for other markets – for now, at least.
