realme has launched a new variant of its C53 smartphone, which offers a larger memory configuration than the original model that was introduced back in June. Apart from that, everything else such as its design, other specifications, and colour options remain the same as before.
This newly introduced realme C53 model comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage, which expands upon the original’s 6GB and 128GB configuration. Users can still expand its storage capacity further up to 2TB via a microSD card, as well as utilise the onboard virtual memory tool to expand the RAM count up to an additional 6GB. And that pretty much covers the differences between this model and the original release.
For the rest of the phone’s specifications, here’s a quick recap: the realme C53 sports a 6.74-inch display with 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, 560 nits peak brightness, and a 8MP selfie camera housed within a water-drop notch. It also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, loudspeaker, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Android 13 via realme UI T, as well as dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, but no NFC support.
Under the hood is a Unisoc Tiger T612 chipset with a Mali–G57 GPU, and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support via USB-C. For photography and videos, featured on its back is a dual camera setup consisting of 50MP primary shooter and a 0.3MP depth sensor.
The new realme C53 8GB + 256GB configuration is available now for RM699 via realme’s official online stores on Shopee, Lazada and Tiktok, as well as its official brand stores and authorised dealers nationwide. For your reference, the original 6GB + 128GB trim is currently retailing at RM599.
