POCO launched the C55 earlier in the year as an additional option for its entry-level range of smartphones. It looks like the time for a sequel is near, as a poster for a POCO C65 has appeared online, with a fast-approaching launch date and some items on its spec sheet.
The post was shared by the brand itself on X, previously Twitter, so there’s no real reason to doubt what is shown. That being said, it looks like the POCO C65 will be pretty similar to the phone that it’s succeeding. From the image, it looks like the phone will be sharing the MediaTek G85 chipset and the 50MP main camera as its predecessor.
In a similar vein, the POCO C65 will also have one of its RAM and storage configurations be the 6GB + 128GB setup. That being said, rather than the other option being more modest, the upcoming phone has an 8GB + 256GB config instead.
Another key difference between the POCO C65 and the C55 though is that it will have a triple camera setup at the back rather than only having two cameras. What these other two units are has not been revealed. Similarly, no word on what the battery powering the phone is like yet either.
All that being said, the post did announce the prices for the POCO C65. The 6GB + 128GB model will have a price tag of US$109 (~RM517). On the other hand, the one with the 8GB + 256GB config will have an asking price of US$129 (~RM611). No word on local availability yet, or if it will even happen in the first place. But we’ll find out more once the launch event is underway.
