If you’re currently an owner of any phone within the Samsung Galaxy S23 Series, we have some good news. As of today, the Korean electronics giant begun rolling out the update for OneUI 6, otherwise known as Android 14.
As with all major updates, OneUI 6 offers a new look to the OneUI overlay, as well as a revamped quick settings panel, among other things. Other major updates include a new and enhanced Home Screen and widgets. In terms of size, the total download size is about 3GB and also includes additional security patches to all Galaxy S23 Series smartphones.

Outside of Samsung’s OneUI 6 overlay, Android 14 first shipped out with Google’s own Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones. Some of the new features and abilities that come with the new OS, as claimed by Google at least, is improved battery life by making internal processes more efficient for users. Security and privacy has also been beefed up, some of which include blocking the installation of apps that target versions of Android below Marshmallow, or version 6.0. Also, with the new OS, users will no longer be able to install or download apps that target SDK version 22 or lower.
In any case, if you’ve still not received the update for the rollout, do be patient – Samsung is likely doing the rollout in batches, which means some Galaxy S23 Series owners may get it sooner than others. At the time of this publication, our writer has already received the OneUI 6 update, while another colleague and his Galaxy S23 FE has yet to receive it.
