Promo materials of the OPPO A79 5G have apparently been leaked in their entirety by leakster Sudhanshu Ambhore. The materials posted show all the key specs of the phone as well as its appearance, revealing it to be a mid-range offering with two colourways that each sport their own unique backplate design.
If the leak is to be believed, the OPPO A79 5G will be equipped with a 6.72-inch 1080p display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 680 nits. Inside, the smartphone will be running on a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. For software, it will allegedly ship with ColorOS 13.1 based on Android 13.
As for the camera setup, the back will feature a 50MP main lens using a Samsung JN1 sensor alongside a 2MP depth sensor while the front notch will house an 8MP selfie snapper. Powering the device will be a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.
Currently, it is unknown when the OPPO A79 5G will be launched or where it will be available. However, it is very likely that the phone will be landing in Malaysia as it has been listed on SIRIM since 4 October.
