Infinix has announced that its Zero 30 smartphone which launched globally in September is finally making its way to Malaysia. However, the launch date is still being kept under wraps for now, but the device is promised to be “coming soon.”
According to details shared by the company, specifications for the local version of the Infinix Zero 30 will more or less match its global counterpart. To recap, the phone will arrive with a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and 950 nits peak brightness. Additionally, it features Corning Gorilla Glass protection, IP53 rating for dust and splash resistance, dual speakers, and a USB-C 2.0 port.
On the inside, the phone runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset, 256GB storage and up to 12GB RAM, which can be further expanded up to a whopping 21GB via virtual memory. Also onboard is a 5,000mAh battery with 68W fast charging, Android 13 via Infinix’s XOS 13, as well as dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC wireless connectivity.
Imaging-wise, found on the back of Infinix Zero 30 is a triple camera setup consisting of a Samsung 108MP primary camera with OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP depth sensor. Impressively, housed within the punch-hole cutout on its display is a front-facing camera that features yet another Samsung sensor – this time a 50MP, which boasts the ability to record 4K video at 60 fps.
In terms of colour options, the phone is offered in either Rome Green, Golden Hour, or Fantasy Purple. Local pricing is still unknown at this time but for reference, the Infinix Zero 30 launched in India starting from INR23,999 (~RM1,350) for the base model.
