ASUS has announced that the Chromebook CR11 Flip is officially available in Malaysia. It is the brand’s latest affordable laptop, which runs on ChromeOS and comes in a convertible form factor, meaning that it doubles as a tablet.
The CR11 Flip sports an 11.6-inch 720p LCD touch display with a peak brightness of 250 nits and has stylus support. It has a rugged design that can withstand up to 405cc of liquid spills, a tamper-resistant keyboard, and a MIL-STD-810H rating that certifies durability against drops of up to 120cm. To make it last longer, the design is also modular and allows for key components such as the keyboard, touchpad, and display panel to be easily replaced with simple tools.
Inside, it runs on an Intel Processor 4-core N100 with UHD Graphics paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 64GB of eMMC storage. Powering the convertible is a 50Wh battery that supports 45W charging through USB-C.
Speaking of which, the CR11 Flip is equipped with several ports including two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microSD card reader, and a Kensington Lock. For video calling, it has an 8MP 720p webcam with 2W stereo speakers.
The Chromebook CR11 Flip starts from RM1,789 for the 4GB+32GB model while the 8GB+64GB variant costs RM2,099. It can be purchased through all authorised retailers.
